Shoes should be shined once a week, maybe every two weeks, depending on the frequency of wear. If you only wear your dress shoes occasionally, we recommend shining them once a month or the night before you wear them. You’ll be surprised how much longer the shoes will last when you take proper care of them. Shines are one of the services we provide at the shop.  

Are shoes too tight?  Stretching is an option for your footwear that may be a bit too tight…leather shoes do stretch the best.  We can stretch the width, the length, or both.  If you have boots that might not slip on as well as they should, we can also stretch at the instep or the calf portion of the boot for a better fit.  We are also able to stretch in the area where you might have a bunion to make that area a bit more comfortable.  Stretching shoes or boots do not hurt the integrity or shape of the shoe.

If the upper part of the shoe dries out or starts cracking, then it’s not worth repairing.
